GIY MIDLETON GROW FOOD 2015 @ MIDLETON COMMUNITY GARDEN

Our next outdoor workshop is at 2pm Saturday February 14th. We will be demonstating how to grow from seeds, the right compost mix to use, pricking out seedlings and how to get the best from indoor growing from seed. Workshop led by local Horticulturalist Mary Walsh. Anyone is welcome.
xMidleton GIY is a spin off community garden group connected to Midleton Tidy Towns. During the winter months we meet at 2pm every Saturday and Sunday in the Community Garden inside the grounds of Midleton Hospital.
We came together in the Spring of 2012 and are supported through our own fundraising and, grants and donations.
We are actively looking for enthusiastic people of all ages to come on board and help us plan our activities, participate in outdoor workshops and help us to communicate our message about local food growing.
Our Community Garden project is supported by the management of Midleton Hospital and the HSE. Our site is part of the old walled gardens beside the Nunnery House in the grounds of Midleton Hospital. The garden is not an allotments project, rather a restoration program to bring back to life the old walled gardens.
