I emptied out one of my compost bins yesterday and this is what I have.  I’ve filled 4 large bags with this, and also spread some round my raised beds.  Really pleased how this turned out.  smile)

No it’s actually our compost from all our household and garden waste added from about last September through to May this year. I think I finally got the mix right. My first lot was a bit moist but this is great. Ran some through ariddle and its just the business!! grin

Hi Clare,

For some reason I’m not able to enlarge your Photo, thats why I thought it was Leafmould. It certainly looks great and a good idea to pass it through a sieve because no matter how careful you are your always going to get things making their way into your compost you would prefer were not there, Chicken bones, bits of plastic, Toothbrush! I found one in mine earlier in the year. I have no idea how the hell that got in there!!!

Don.

Well done Clare. It looks great.

We can never have enough of that gold when it comes to replenishing the soil.
