yacon - in tunnell or outdoors?
Hello - curious whether yacon would grow outdoors in Connemara - mine is in a tunnell, but it’s literally
hogged the place, and the top growth is presently crunched up against the roof.

Hi, Andy. I grow yacon in Mayo and have grown it both outdoors and in a polytunnel. They will grow outdoors but the yield of the indoor ones is far superior. As to the height, you can cut the stalks down to a third and they will continue to grow successfully. Remember the tubers will continue to grow for about a month after the tops have died down, if you can wait that long.
