GIY Supporter
GIY is a grassroots organisation which is open to all. Being a supporter of GIY means taking an active role in supporting our work (reg charity CHY 18920) with an annual subscription.
GIY Supporter Benefits
• The Feel Good Factor of knowing that you are supporting an Irish based, international organisation which promotes the home growing of food, food empathy and food education. Thanks to you, we can support GIY groups nationally and run education programmes throughout the year.
• Quarterly GROW magazine – supporters will receive a 28 page magazine, 4 times a year.
• Weekly Ezine which will give you updates on GIY events throughout the country as well as up to the minute GIY information, advice and tips.
• Free GIY Growing Guide/wall planner for first time members.
• Growers gift of GIY seeds each quarter: Supporters will receive a free gift with every mailout. Most quarters, this gift will be a packet of seeds but every now and again, there’ll be a GIY related surprise! Family supporters will receive 2 growers gifts per quarter.
• Special offers from the GIY online shop. We will have special offers which will be exclusive to GIY supporters and which will relate to products you will be using within the next quarter.
• Special offers from GIY retail friends – from time to time, we will have special offers or discounts from retail friends – these will be passed onto you with your quarterly mailout.
• 20% discount for GIY Cookery Demonstrations: In 2014, GIY is running a series of celebrity cookery demonstrations around the country. GIY supporters will get a 20% discount on entry to these events.
• 50% discount on GIY Gathering tickets: Every September, GIY holds the GIY Gathering in Waterford. This is a weekend event which coincides with the Waterford Harvest Festival and has been described as ‘Glastonbury for Growers’. It’s a weekend full of speakers, workshops and chat for GIY’ers.
