sarpo spuds

i have a great crop of sarpo this year, im afraid to leave them in ground as i have read about potatoes getting hollow .when is good time to harvest ,can i cut  foliage back and leave them in ground, thank you ken,

  • I have grown sarpo mira for a few years and have left them in the ground over winter without any ill effects. In fact I think the flavour is improved if left till the new year. Very little slug damage as well but that may just be my garden.
